Birnbaum® bread baskets made from rattan and wood are tested every five years by the DGUV Test testing and certification body for food and packaging. They meet the high standards of hygiene and safety required in food production.

Herbert Birnbaum GmbH is a family-run business with a tradition stretching back over 170 years. True to our motto, 'A head start through expertise and ideas', we have been manufacturing bread proving baskets and bakery equipment since 1847 for companies that set the highest standards in baked goods production.
Thanks to our many years of experience developing proofing baskets and our extensive knowledge of baking technology, we have been the market leader in Germany for proofing basket production for many years. We offer a wide variety of rattan and plastic baskets, including tried-and-tested standard designs, customised special designs, and new BIO-plastic solutions.
